Children’s Coach
A unique approach to help coach and support young people.
Who I am
I am an independent practitioner supporting young people with their social and emotional wellbeing.
What I do
I provide early intervention to help young people build on their strengths and learn strategies to reduce anxiety, create a sense of security and regulate their behaviour.
“Stacey has been supporting my 11 year old adopted son for the past 3 years – through severe anxiety, unrecognised SEN needs, crisis in mainstream school, two years of ‘elective’ home education, EHCP application and finally re-entry into mainstream schooling in Year 6. She has seen him through his darkest times and in the process been a huge support to our family as a whole. Stacey is not only highly trained, professional and experienced, she has an instinctive and nurturing connection with vulnerable children that allows them to open up, safe in the knowledge she will fight their corner, whatever difficulties they face. Stacey really is a gem, if I could clone her I would hand out Stacey’s to all the struggling kids I know.”
Stacey has literally been like an angel to us. She has helped our daughter since she was young. I am not sure what we would have done without her. She has been a huge support to all of my family. Without her, we would not have coped and our daughter may not be where she is today.
Stacey’s down to earth nature makes her easy to talk to and relate to. Children seem to love her. When you meet her it’s easy to see why.
As well as understanding children, Stacey knows how to help parents deal with some of the most difficult situations. It’s bit like having a life coach with your mum and big sister all rolled into one.
Stacey has all the qualities of an amazing councillor. She’s a great listener and invariably offers a sympathetic ear. However, sometimes we needed more than this. Her experience and expertise gives her the ability to offer sensible and practical guidance when you most need it. On several occasions we just talked through everything over the phone without even taking our daughter to see her. As parents we needed encouragement, educated advice and practical solutions. Stacey gave us all of that and more.
Our daughter is a strong, sensitive and determined girl but every now and then things just go a little off track. Stacey has taught us how to guide her back.
THANK YOU
My Approach
Because the child or young person understands and is involved in the plan of support, they have a sense of ownership and a feeling of having control of the situation.
Bereavement
I provide professional assistance before and after bereavement by working closely with children and families in a practical way to help gently guide them through the grieving process.
“Stacey has been, quite simply, transformative – not just for my son, but for the whole of our family. She has the biggest of hearts and the most sensitive of characters, ably and cleverly giving my son what he calls ‘Stacey’s Tips and Tricks’ to not only cope with all that life throws at him but enabling him to grow in self esteem and self belief and become a wonderfully happy and confident boy. We will be forever grateful for all her support, care and guidance to ALL members of our family.”
